What we keep, and what we don’t.
Short, because there is not much to say.
The set-up form
If you send the “Request a set-up” form, we keep the name, email, business, trade and note you typed, and the time it arrived, so we can email you back. We keep them at Cloudflare, the company that runs this website. To stop floods, the website also keeps a short-lived count of requests from each sender, under a scrambled code instead of your internet address. Apart from Cloudflare keeping it for us, we do not sell what you send or pass it on.
The typed call
The demo workspace runs in your browser on made-up data. The typed call is different: each line you type goes through this website to the robot, which runs on our own computer. The website’s server keeps none of what you type. Your browser keeps the call’s lines and its card on the page until you close or reload it. To stop floods, the website and the robot each keep a short-lived count of turns from each visitor, under a scrambled code instead of your internet address. The robot keeps the call’s card (what is wrong, where, when, a name) in its memory, for its last 800 calls, until it restarts, and only the same visitor can carry a call on; it never writes what you typed to disk. Its log keeps a scrambled code for the call, the trade, how many lines, timings and lengths, why a line was held back, whether the address is inside the service area and whether a downed power line came up, never your words. So please type made-up details. Nothing is called, nothing is texted, and no real customer of yours is involved.
Calls are recorded and answered by an AI
When you phone a number that uses our receptionist, an AI answers, not a person, and the call is recorded.
The demo phone line
When you ring the demo line, the robot that answers is an AI, and the call is recorded. It writes a card for the call (why you called, how urgent it is, where, when, a name) and, if it books a visit, the booking (the same, and a number to call you back on). The call itself is carried by the phone and voice companies we use to run the line. We keep each card and booking at Cloudflare, the company that runs this website, until we delete them. The home page shows the last call’s reason, urgency and booked time, with no name, number or address, until the next call replaces it, and for 30 days at most. The calendar feed shows the newest bookings, 50 at most, with no name, number or address. So please give made-up details when you call.
A business’s own phone line
When you call a business that uses our robot on its own phone line, the details you give it (your name, number, addresses, dates and what you want moved) go only to that business’s owner, by email and on his private calendar, never onto this website, and we keep them until he asks us to delete them, or for 90 days at most.
Cloudflare’s own records
Cloudflare, the company that runs this website, keeps its own short record of each request made to it (such as which page was asked for, and when), as any web host does.
Asking us to delete it
Email ethannikhil661@gmail.com and we delete the form, cards and bookings we hold about you.
Alder Ridge Tree Care and Gulf Lantern Moving are made-up sample businesses used for the demo. The numbers shown in them are not real people.
